Crafted in homage to the classic Smoked Old Fashioned cocktail, The Old Fashioned begins with grass-fed tallow slowly smoked over maple hardwood for a rich, smokey base. Organic jojoba oil gives the balm a lighter finish, while orange, oak-aged cognac lees, tobacco absolute, vetiver, and rare woods create the character of a well-built pour. We also include a dash of our innovative aromatic "bitters accord" for that extra "something" that makes it feel like the real-deal.

Founder’s Note
This blend took months to get right. More than a few smoked Old Fashioneds disappeared in the process while we worked through every note and detail of the aroma profile. The bitters accord alone contains 11 different resins, absolutes, and essential oils layered together for warmth, spice, smoke, and depth. It may be the smallest part of the formula, but it’s the piece I’m most proud of crafting in 2026. --Lily

Grass-fed and finished tallow (infused with maple wood smoke), organic jojoba oil, Old Fashioned essential oil blend (orange, cognac, hiba wood, blue tansy, nagarmotha, tobacco absolute, vetiver), aromatic bitters blend (cinnamon bark, black pepper, anise, clove bud, benzoin, vetiver, ginger, cardamom, balsam of Peru, bay rum, opopanax).

We source our beef suet (kidney fat) exclusively from small regenerative farms where cattle are rotationally grazed year-round and fed a 100% grass-based diet. These healthy animals produce a rich, golden tallow naturally high in skin-supporting vitamins and minerals.

Every batch is hand-processed in-house from start to finish. We carefully sort and clean the suet by hand, then use a proprietary low-heat, dry-rendering process to preserve nutrients and create a clean, light, buttery aroma — never using chemical agents or additives.
