What Makes a Whipped Tallow Balm Different?
A whipped tallow balm is beaten until it holds air, which changes how it feels and how fast it sinks in. Ours melts on contact and absorbs without leaving a greasy film, so you can use it in the morning and still get dressed. Straight rendered tallow is denser and slower, which is why we whip every balm in this collection.
Using Tallow Balm on Your Face
Tallow balm for face works because tallow is close in structure to the oils your skin already produces, so it sits well on most skin types without clogging pores. Start with an amount the size of a pea on clean, slightly damp skin. If your skin runs reactive, the Herb-Infused Unscented balm is where most people start. Keep balms with stronger essential oils, like peppermint, to the body. Where Our Beef Tallow Comes From?
Every batch starts with grass fed and grass finished beef suet from regenerative family farms here in the United States, never factory farmed. We render it low and slow to protect the vitamins A, D, E, K, and B1 the fat carries naturally. Then we whip, jar, and ship it from our studio in central Virginia, the same way we have for ten years.
